Lathan Watts – Religious Discrimination in Fredericksburg

Lathan Watts is an attorney and the director of community relations with First Liberty Institute, an organization dedicated to restoring religious liberty for all Americans.

Lathan comes on the show to introduce himself and the organization, but he also makes us aware of a truly bizarre story involving a former Lutheran pastor, now retired and living in a senior community in Fredericksburg.

The pastor, following the community’s protocols, attempted to register the community room for a Bible Study. When that “book review” was deemed unacceptable for the Evergreens, he moved the small gathering to a private residence.

Now, the pastor is facing eviction.

It’s a truly remarkable chain of events and shows how quickly political correctness can go amok.

First Liberty has filed a Housing and Urban Development Complaint in an effort to rectify this obvious overreach.
